Pointing up and to the right, the camera shows buildings zipping by in the foreground, while skyscrapers loom beyond. Then the camera pans to the left, revealing a perspectival image of the train tracks winding through the city. With its two distinct halves, this shot offers a dialectical picture of the city. The first half of the shot is disorienting but exciting. The second half shows the orderly containment of energy.
